Business to bring tech to those in need

GALION — Don Zsigray has been repairing and building computers for many years but recently found a way he can help others with his knowledge and skill.

“I am refurbishing them to the point of being like new and giving them to needy families and students in Crawford County,” Zsigray said. “The whole thing is geared for the children that need technology.”

“I want them to help me get started with families in need that they have identified,” he said. “When school is out for the summer and the laptops and iPads through the school are not available for students, I want them to be able to have technology to utilize.”

“It is based on need so families on government assistance and low-income families will be eligible,” Zsigray said.

He said that he has teamed up with Gina Powell and Ken Reynolds at AA American Bail Bonds to facilitate the program.

“They are letting me use space at their business for computers, tablets, etc. to be dropped off,” Zsigray said. “Almost everyone has an old computer sitting around or a laptop that no longer works. Why not donate it so I can refurbish and supply to kids and families who are in need.”

“People can fill out the submission form or call to apply to determine the need for the program,” Zsigray said.

For more information about the program or to complete a submission form, visit galionpc.com or call 567-274-8720.

The drop-off location for PC repair and pick-up along with technology donations is at AA American Bail Bonds, 125 N. Columbus St., Galion.
